Introduction Plants can grow upwards (negative geotropism) or downwards (geotropism positive), horizontal (diageotripopism) or forming a certain angle to the vertical direction. In general, stem growth movements are influenced by the auxin distribution pattern basipetal. But besides this there are other patterns of auxin distribution, mainly due to the influence of light, namely: (1) The presence of light can increase auxin synthesis; (3) from the experiments of Leopold et al., showed that there was lateral transport of auxin from the side of plant organs exposed to light to the side not exposed to light. C. MOVEMENT AND GROWTH OF THE STICK Tools and materials 1. 6 sample tubes with cork stoppers with one hole. 2. 2 pieces of stand, 6 pieces of multi-purpose clamps for clamps each. 3. 6 plant stalks Coleus sp and wax/vaseline. Ways of working 1. The sample tube is filled with water until it is full. Place the three tubes on stand 1 in an upright, horizontal and inverted position with multi-purpose clamp clamp. Meanwhile, the other three sample tubes were placed in stative II. 4.
