Tuck everlasting Chapter 1 Setting: ( where the story takes place) The story takes place in the woods What is the setting of Tuck everlasting? The setting takes place in Treegap woods. Plot The story begins in a quiet town in Treegap where Winnie Foster lives in the 1800s How old is Winnie Foster? Winnie Foster is 10 years old. With whom does Winnie Foster live? She lives with her family. One day, Winnie decides to discover the woods. What does Winnie find in the woods? Winnie finds a spring ( a magical spring). She also meets Jesse Tuck who is a boy. What does Jesse tuck tell Winnie? “Don’t drink from the spring” Why does Jesse say this to Winnie? Because staying young forever is not easy. Whoever lives on this planet forever face many responsibilities. First, all your friends will die. Immortality ( living forever) is a lonely situation because people around You continuously die After Winnie meets Jesse, he takes her to meet his family. Mae- Jesse’s mother , Father ( Angus) and his brother’s name is Miles Why does Jesse’s family live separately? They live separately because they don’t want people to know that everyone in the family Is immortal. What does Mae Tuck have that gives her a good feeling? Her music boc Chapter 1 Characters Man with a yellow suit : He is a mean man who is greedy and wants to find the magical spring. He is looking for the spring Winnie Foster: decides to run away in the Mae Tuck is a very loving woman . She loves her music box . She hasn’t seen her sons for ten years because she doesn’t want people to know that her whole family is immortal. Mae Tuck woods Mae Tuck: sets out to see her sons ( Jesse and Miles) Chapter 2 Narrator : says the story Angus Tuck : He is very unhappy because he is immortal. Angus dreams to escape eternal life carries a music box. Mae tuck carries a music box which is a symbol of comfort. What happens: Mae Tuk Goes out to meet her sons. Chapter 3 No new characters in Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Winnie is sitting outside her house, and she sees the man in the yellow suit.The man in the yellow suit asks strange questions about the woods. So Winnie explores the words she meets Jesse and he tells her to stay away from the water Winnie talks to Mae and Mae is very nice to her and explains to her not to be afraid of the spring. Jesse tries to calm Winnie down. Miles is afraid that Winnie will talk about the spring. The Tucks decide they kidnap Winnie so she doesn’t talk. Winnie spend time of Half of the family likes the Tucks as they tell being immortal, and her about the spring. half of the family does not like to be immortal Winnie is thinking about what the Tucks have told her Angus tells Winnie Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Winnie feels very trapped, and she wants to run away from her family how different life is when you are immortal Lessons : The Cycle of Life is death People are free to make their own choices Immortality can be tiring Natural Life can be very valuable 1. 2. 3.
