Morphology of thrombi Layers in thrombus: - First layer of the thrombus as the tfirst layer of endothelium (endocardium is a platelet layer. on the top of the platelet layer, filosion is precipitated to form upstanding laminae. has blown the upstanding. Laminae ABCs get trapped. Lines of Zahn-Bath gloss & microscopy of thrombus show alternating light and of platelets held together by fibrin and dask retracted area of fibrin meshwork with trapped RBCs. These alternating laminations of light and dark are known as lines of hahu. Fate of thrombus 1. Dissolution / Lysis:- Recent thrombi may totally disappear... old twombi ou more resistant to lysis. 2. Propagation of tumour:- It is the process in which strong grow & Increase in size. Arbesial thombi grow retrograde from the of attachment. point + Venous thrombi extend in the direction of blood Flow. 3. Embolization: Phromsi may get detached from its site off asigin and forms embali. These emboli con bravel to other sites thisough the circulations & lodge in a blood vessel away from the site of thrombus formation! 4. Organization:- Lof thrombi are not dissolved, these oldes thrombi become organized by the ingenuity of endothelial cells, smooth mische cells and fibroblasb 5. Canalization/reconciliation:- New channels lived by endothelial cells may forms in ans organized today
