Young Men’s brains are being digitally rewired in a totally different way for constant arousal ,change ,novelty and excitement.(Zimbardo,2016)This results in them being totally out of sync to traditional norms which are interactively passive leading. Though there has not been direct scientific research that links pornography with the soar in depression among young men. There has been ample evidence that depressed young man tend to use pornography as a coping mechanism. This unfortunately impacts one negatively. Due to over masturbation young men have a difficulty in having an orgasm. They are More likely to a perpetrators of sexual abuse as they easily get aroused. They find masturbating more pleasurable which can lead to domestic conflicts as they start expecting the impossible from their spouses Lastly, our future is at stake due to overconsumption of porn. A recent study done in undergrads across the country have shown that the academic performance of frequent porn users declines throughout their time in college. Due to the addictive nature and lack of motivation that comes from porn. Young adult man who consume a lot of porn rather spend most of their time doing only that than engage in any other activities(Rothman, et al,2015). This not only keeps them away from their books but it also contributes to an unhealthy lifestyle that also contributes to the upsurge in obese people in America .It does not end there unfortunately, the false image of a perfect body that is usually depicted in porn can cause a whole lot of body insecurities among the young men that consume it, this can further lead to more extreme cases of depression or eating disorders like anorexia nervosa.(Healey,2019) I sure do hope I have presented you with enough evidence to consider censorship of porn searching on your platform.
