Main Heading: Inter Relationship of Institution Content: What is a Social Institution: A cluster of social structures that collectively meet one of the basic needs of society. They include: Family Education Politics/Government Economics Religion Sport Each of these institutions is organized differently, changes in quiet different ways, and is responsible for different functions or needs. They are also interdependent. Inter-relationship among institutions: Within the social system, there are a number of social institutions which are interrelated to each other. Like family, education, government, etc. Their own objectives and functions. Social structure is maintained by proper adjustment and relationships among different institutions. Inter-relationship among institutions: 4. Any changes in an institution may lead to a change in the other institutions too. 5. No institution is affected by other institutions. 6. Any structural change in the institution of family changes the structure of the society. Clinical Sociologist Clinical sociologists analyze social situations and reduce problems through interventions. Clinical sociologists may work as an individual, family or group counselors, community organizers, consumer advocates, focus group facilitators, action researchers, administrators or policy makers.
