Causes considerable discomfort. Symptoms and Signs: Pain Tearing Watering eye Redness Eyelids may be partially closed Vision may be affected First Aid for Foreign Bodies in Eye: Not rub the eye Make him sit in a chair Wash the eye with clean water. Sometimes foreign bodies may be washed by the water flow. Close and cover the eye. * Do not attempt to remove the foreign object in the eye. * If the foreign body is a loose eyelash, pull the upper eyelid over the lower eyelid and blink several times. * If the foreign body is not removed, cover the eye with a clean cloth, bandage it lightly, and shift to the nearest hospital. **Foreign Body in Ear:** * Do not attempt to remove the object with cotton swabs or other objects. * The insect may become lodged deeper in the ear canal. * This may cause circulation problems and hearing impairment.
