Why is volleyball considered to be such a good aerobic exercise? Volleyball is considered a good aerobic exercise because it involves quick sprints around your side of the court you are also diving and quickly moving in order to control the ball so it doesn’t touch down on your side of the court. 2. How many total points can be scored in a game of volleyball? The total amount of points that can be scored in a volleyball game are 15 points per a game. 3. What does “a match” in volleyball consist of? A match in volleyball consists of three rounds with the total amount of five points available in each round. The matches are concluded after one of the teams has collected 15 points. 4. What clothing is typically worn for playing volleyball? The clothing that is typically worn for volleyball is a t-shirt, socks, shorts, and special volleyball shoes. 5. What is “the ready position” in volleyball and how is it used? The ready position is when a player stands ready with their hands in the ready position. 6. What is an overhand serve? An overhand serve is when you toss the volleyball up and hit it while the ball is still in the air. 7. What is an underhand serve? An underhand serve is when you have your arms in the ready position, you also throw the ball up, but this time you wait for the ball to land on your arms so that you can force it up. 8. What is a pass and how is it used? A pass is used when you want to pass the volleyball to another team mate. 9. How is a spike ball hit? A spike is used when going back and forth with the opposing team. You wait for the ball to touch your fore arms and then push the ball to the other side of the net. 10. How is a block used? A block is used when the opposing team tries to knock a ball directly over the other team’s net in order to score. Instead of waiting for this to happen the defending team members will deflect the ball by pushing it over back to the other team’s net by using their hands.
