The following questions will help you reflect on the video of your most recent speech and plan for the future. (1) What surprised you the most about what you saw in your video? I moved around a lot, and I often lost my train of focus. I didn’t think that it was that obvious while I was presenting, but after watching the video I think that it might affect my grade more than I had initially thought. I also messed up the order of my notecards and this led to a long pause that I didn’t think was that long but it was. (2) Name at least one thing that you think you did well during this speech. What did you improve upon in this speech when compared to your previous speech? I think that I had good annunciation and projection, allowing the words that I spoke to be easily heard by the audience. (3) Name at least one thing that you were not happy with about your speech: I didn’t do a very good job at transitioning from one viewpoint to the other. (4) Based on what you have seen here, what are two specific improvements you plan to make for your next speech? - I need to practice more, and run through the speech in full a few times a day in the week leading up to the presentation, I need to make better notecards to guide me mentally through the speech.
