Importance of Soft Skills Soft skills are non-technical skills that are required to interact with people. Good communication skills and a tolerance to stress are some of the soft skills that a nurse must possess. Good communication skill is a fundamental aspect of nursing where a nurse can establish and maintain good relationships with patients and colleagues. Types of communication skills: 1. Verbal communication 2. Non-verbal communication Verbal communication takes place through words, spoken or written.
