Identify at least two types of feedback and describe how you would use them in your own classroom. Using the “Class Profile” as a resource, discuss how you might have to differentiate these types of feedback depending on the student's learning abilities and needs. I intend to incorporate both informal and formal feedback into my future lessons with my pupils. Informal teacher criticism can replace a variety of forms in the classroom. The purpose of this kind of feedback is to provide students with immediate feedback on the work they are now engrossed in. The teacher can use this time to address concerns, offer advice, or simply check in with the student to see how they are doing. In my future classroom, I want to provide students informal feedback by reading their diaries or writing tasks, then getting back to them with comments or suggestions. On examinations or quizzes, I will also make remarks that will encourage pupils to see errors and perhaps even ask questions. Formal feedback is provided through planned discourse sessions with predetermined objectives. The emphasis of dialogue is on comments and ideas as well as formally setting personal goals. In accordance with particular projects, due dates, and the needs of each learner, I want to meet with a select group of students every day or once a week. Meeting with students twice or more during a project or course is the major objective of formal feedback. When a teacher does this, the students have numerous chances to check that they are on the right track and make the required changes to their work. Students are positioned for academic achievement as a result.
