Lecture Title :Abdomen Lecture Date : 13/4/2021 Sheet Note #1 Superficial fascia can reach 7 cm of fat for some some people who suffer from obesity External oblique muscle and internal oblique muscle their fibrous is sloping Transverse abdominal m its fibrous is horizontal Transverse fasia inside the Transverse abdominal muscle Sheet Note #2 Epigastric region : any proplem in the stomach will be found or felt in this area Umbilical region : below it we have the small intestine any proplem in the upper part of small intestine will be found or felt in this area Pubic region or suprapubic region : any proplem in the lower part of small intestine will be found or felt in this area Right iliac fossa : contain appendex which have large amount lymphatic cell Right hypochondirum : contain liver Left hypochondirum : contain spleen Sheet Note #1 >> (muscles on both side of midline of the anterior abdominal wall) this kind of muscles are smooth sheet-like muscles . >> So in general we have 2 central muscles ( on both sides of LINEA ALBA ) an 3 peripheral muscles on both sides (OBLIQUE MUSCLES ). >> the Rectus abdominis muscles are raised and well noticeable in weightlifters’ bodies . >> The insertion of the oblique muscles is wide because its Apo neurosis ( flat tendon / dens CT sheet ) >> oblique muscles from both sides (right, left ) will assembly together in the insertion then fuse making a zip-line shape ). >> LINEA ALBA is formed by the union/ intercrossing of the Apo neurosis of the 3 flat muscles (oblique muscles (right & left )) . >> In some cases : new-born babies come with part of the intestine is outside the umbilicus region because the origin of the oblique muscles is fleshy and the insertion is Apo neurotic . Sheet Note #1 Diagram: muscle tendons partition that separate the thorax up from the abdomen below Abdominal aorta: direct continuation from thoracic aorta , which start at level T12 through an opening called Aortic Opening ,it have tree branches , it well end at the lower boarder of lumbar vertebra number 4 and dividing into right and left common iliac arteries Celiac artery originated from abdominal aorta at level of T12 Sup mesenteric artery at level of L1 . INF mesenteric artery at level of L3. Sheet Note #3 Foregut ( esophagus, stomach, upper half of the duodenum, Liver and gallbladder) Abdominal aorta  gives three single branches , the first branch of the abdominal aorta is called Celiac Artery at level T12 ,,, the second branch called superior mesenteric artery is the arterial supply of the Midgut,, the inferior mesenteric artery its arterial supply of the Hingut
