To apply practices that support the principle of utilizing comprehensible input and clear instruction in language development lessons, I would integrate various strategies into the lesson plan: Gesturing and Facial Expressions: By incorporating gestures and facial expressions, I can provide visual cues that enhance understanding for students, especially those who may struggle with language comprehension. This practice helps make abstract concepts more concrete and accessible. Visual Aids: Integrating visual aids such as images, diagrams, and charts helps reinforce language concepts and makes them more comprehensible, particularly for visual learners. Visuals provide context and support understanding by representing information in multiple modalities. High-Frequency Vocabulary: Focusing on high-frequency vocabulary ensures that students are exposed to words that are commonly used in everyday language. By mastering these words, students can more easily engage in conversations and comprehend written texts, laying a solid foundation for further language development.
