MODULE IV PEDIATRIC NEUROMUSCULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY MODULE Mastering the techniques, principles and procedures for implementing physiotherapy practices in neuromuscular cases carried out independently or in groups. Brief description: Lesions in the nervous system, namely the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves, can cause various clinical neurological symptoms based on the location of the lesion and the extent of the lesion, both central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system (SST). A large number of nervous system disorders in humans are thought to originate from early developmental disorders. Neuromuscular cases are often found in children. Most neuromuscular cases can be recognized from clinical symptoms and neurological examination. Anatomically, abnormalities in the peripheral nervous system start from the anterior horn of the spinal cord and end at the neuromuscular junction. Neuromuscular disorders can occur genetically or acquired. In children, the relationship between lesions in the nervous system and functional disorders can change, movement abnormalities in the first weeks or months of birth in the child's growth and development process gradually and can increase during the first year of life. However, when a child is over one year old, at this stage of development, changes in motor skills, cognition, behavior, language and speech, psychosocial, vision and hearing begin to become very important concerns for further development. For this reason, we need an in-depth and holistic understanding of disorders or abnormalities in children who have special characteristics both in terms of physical and functional movements. Pediatric Neuromuscular Physiotherapy practical logbook Practical Activities Practical activities that can be carried out are related to the problems of each Neuromuscular pediatric physiotherapy case obtained from the examination contained in the status of the Neuromuscular pediatric physiotherapy clinic such as cases of Cerebral Palsy, Plexus Brachialis, Spina Bipida, Hydrocephalus and ABK (Mental Retardation, Down Syndrome, Autism, ADD and ADHD and MBD)
