Chpter5 Pg 87 The central idea is the thesis statement of the chosen topic you are going to discuss. it is important because it reveal your reasoning behind the topic. Without a thesis statement, the audience would not be able to follow the speech. As a public speaker, it an important to create a speech with a clear thesis statement proving your reasonings behind an issue.. The thesis statement have to be the statement that catch the audience's attention. As a public speaker I must carefully organize a speech so that the public can reminisce on the words spoken. Another way to keep the audience attentive is to be creative by using descriptive words and keep going back to the main point of the selected issue. The major concept of a statement is the point or message that the speaker wishes to get across to the audience. This is also known as the "principal argument." It serves as a reference for the speaker to follow when selecting and organising the supporting points and instances that are used to demonstrate and develop the primary idea of the speech, which is the core concept around which the speech is constructed. The quotation implies that the primary thought serves as a residual message; that is, it is the impression that the speaker wants the audience to retain long after they have forgotten the specific details and examples that were presented in the speech. This is the impression that the speaker wants to leave with the audience. To put it another way, the primary idea is the most essential thing that the audience should walk away with after hearing the speech, and it should be unforgettable and thought-provoking enough to stick with them for a significant amount of time after the speech is over. It is possible for the speaker to ensure that they are conveying a message that is both obvious and succinct and that will reverberate with the audience if they concentrate on the primary idea as a leftover message. This strategy assists the speaker in prioritising the most essential points and ideas and preventing them from becoming distracted by information that is either extraneous or peripheral to the topic at hand. Ultimately, the primary idea is an essential component of any persuasive address. If it is presented to the audience in the form of a lingering message, the speaker can ensure that they are conveying a message that is understandable, unforgettable, and influential to their audience.
