Okay, Google, how to catch the Christmas mood and not let it go? How to stay charged with the celebration spirit and December inner warmth even after it's gone?
Christmas movies, gingerbread house, one horse open sleigh? What exactly makes our Christmas mood and allows it to last longer?
We decided to figure out how to carry the Christmas spirit with us as long as possible so that every student can go to school with a piece of the holiday inside and every employee can take on their tasks with the feeling of still returning to the holiday in the evening.
To do this, we are opening the Christmas Moodcatcher position, people who will help us catch the spirit of Christmas in a fist and not let it go for as long as we can.
Who is a Moodcatcher?
We are looking for exactly 25 people to share this Christmas and its aftertaste. We are looking for the real zealots of the Christmas mood. Here’s how to spot one of our elves:
- Those who have been listening to jingle bells since November.
- Those whose decorated houses can be seen from any part of the street.
- Those whose Christmas tree designs can be part of a portfolio.
- Real architects who make not just Christmas gingerbread, but true wonders of the world.
- Those for whom Christmas is not just any holiday, but a state of mind.
Get Paid to Do Your Thing
We will divide these 25 Moodcatchers into groups of 5 people, each getting their own tidbit of the Christmas process:
Home Aloners
Yes, you got it right. These are exactly the people who will spend their evenings at home, not defending themselves from robbers, but watching their favorite Christmas movies. And not necessarily alone, by the way.
Each of the 5 Home Aloners will have to watch at least one Christmas movie every day for 2 weeks. Yes, it's a tough job and a marathon of a kind, so consider if you really want to be a Home Aloner.
We have already prepared a list of movies. It has a little more than 14 titles to give our Moodcatchers some air and choice:

If our Home Aloners have any special requests for movies they want to watch that aren't on our list, we'll take them into account as well.
For all Home Aloners, EduBirdie will provide the necessary video materials as well as a set of pleasant snacks and drinks for every comfortable movie night.
Cookie Guards
True guardians of Christmas cuisine. Who doesn't love getting a tasty dish? And what about getting a tasty dish from the Christmas table full of your favorite dishes? We want to shed that Christmas table feeling and leave our Moodcatcehrs to eat Christmas meals long after the holiday itself.
Cookie Guards are our big lucky ones. Every day, we will provide each of them with delicious food from the prepared Christmas menu agreed with the participants in advance. Meals may include but are not limited to:
- Honey-glazed ham
- Scalloped potatoes
- Roast turkey and gravy
- Yorkshire pudding
- Beef wellington
- Cranberry salad
- Candied sweet potatoes
- Creamy corn pudding
Each Cookie Guard will be provided with one full Christmas meal each day and a set of cookies with milk or another favorite drink (I mean, we couldn’t do it with no cookies with milk, right?)
Heartgivers
Did you give your heart to someone last Christmas? Well, we all know the story.
No Christmas is possible without a good, so beloved, and perhaps hackneyed playlist. We are well aware that Christmas music will not go anywhere after Christmas, so any of our moodcatchers will fall under its influence in one way or another. However, we want this group to consciously listen to the playlist we have chosen together with the person (based on their preferences) for at least an hour and a half a day.
Does the music create an atmosphere or, on the contrary, has become so boring and pours from everywhere so often that you want to turn it off as soon as possible, not to mention the rest of Christmas? How soon does it begin to negatively affect mood? How often should you update your Christmas playlist? These are the questions our Heartgivers will have to answer.
This will not interfere with their usual routine, but we will evaluate their Christmas mood on a regular basis.
Grinch Hunters
No presents, no Christmas. Only Grinch can live with that. That’s why we have our Grinch Hunters being taken care of. Every day, each of our Grinch Hunters will receive a small personalized gift from EduBirdie selected by our team based on the person's preferences. We cannot announce what they will be, as we don’t really know it all yet, but have a lot of ideas in mind. Let's keep this one a secret for now, okay?
So, all you have to do is get presents and tell us how you like them and how it affects your Christmas mood. Now, that sounds nice.
Luck Elves
Here comes the best part. Easy as that, this is the most lucky group. It might take some effort to combine all the tasks from the previous groups, but we expect our Lucky Elves to do all the mentioned above at once. Let’s see how it affects their total Christmas mood when brought all together.
How Long Will it Last?
Each group will work on their assignments exactly 2 weeks after they are announced as Moodcatchers on the day after Christmas, December 26th.
What Will You Do With This Data?
Each day, each of our Moodcatchers will be required to complete a checklist that will measure their levels of Christmas mood, stress, and motivation. Based on these estimates, we will be able to build an individual map for each person in order to measure the change in their condition over the course of two weeks. Based on this data, we want to conclude what is the most inspiring part of Christmas and how to carry this holiday spirit with you for as long as possible.
What’s in it for Me?
In addition to all the perks that you get as a Moodcatcher, depending on your position (Home Aloner, Cookie Guard, Heartgiver, Grinch Hunter, Luck Elf), each of our participants will receive a cash reward of 1,000 us dollars or the equivalent in the currency of the country of residence. Hard cash for future gifts as another bonus to your Christmas mood, that’s the answer.
How Can I Apply?

How and When Will I Know If I’m a Winner?
We’ll announce our future Moodcatchers as well as their positions on Dec 26, 2022. We’ll make preliminary contact with every one of them to make sure they are okay with the terms and ready to work as a Moodcatcher.
Terms & Conditions
DEFINITIONS
Terms and definitions used in the Terms and Conditions of PR Campaign “Christmas Moodcatcher” (hereinafter - "Terms", "Rules") have the following meanings:
Participant – the individual who was chosen by the Organizer and who signed these Rules (hereinafter - "Christmas Moodcatcher", or “you”).
Organizer – Radioplus Experts Ltd, a legal entity established under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, having its registered office at Louki Akrita, 23, Bellapais Court, Flat/Office 46, 1100, Nicosia, Cyprus (hereinafter - "EduBirdie").
ELIGIBILITY
The position of Christmas Moodcatcher is open to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, EU (European Union), Canada, Singapore, Japan, and Mexico only. The applicant must be at least 21 years, or otherwise have reached the age of majority under the laws of the state/country where they reside, to participate. Only one entry per person is permitted. Anyone engaging in fraudulent actions by using alternative personal profile details will be disqualified.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply to the Campaign and become a Participant you must visit our website at https://edubirdie.com/blog/christmas-moodcatcher and fill in the relevant form. EduBirdie reserves the right at its own discretion to select the entrant who will become the Christmas Moodcatcher and sign these Rules.
GENERAL TERMS
The dates of the Campaign are set on EduBirdie’s website on this page.
EduBirdie chooses the Christmas Moodcatcher and provides them with all the necessary utilities for their position.
EduBirdie may require you to provide proof (proof of ID) that you are eligible to apply for this position.
Each Moodcatcher agrees to conclude the steps of the study mentioned in their agreement 2 weeks from the beginning of the study.
Each participant agrees to provide feedback about the study (about 60-100 words of comment). You agree that your comment can be used by EduBirdie for an unlimited amount of time. You hereby authorize us to make any copies of it, publications, spread around, make it publicly accessible in any possible way, or otherwise use and disclose it for purposes of marketing and publicizing our services, or for any other lawful purpose.
If the Participant fails to complete any of the mentioned steps, EduBirdie reserves the right to offer the position to the next eligible entrant.
PAYMENT
EduBirdie will pay the Participant a one-time monetary payment of $1,000 after completing all the required steps of the study (hereinafter - "Remuneration").
Monetary payment can be made via debit card, PayPal, or direct bank transfer depending on the Participant’s choice. To make a payment, an applicant will need to fill in the invoice and send it to us. EduBirdie will provide the correct invoice template and help participants to fill it in.
EduBirdie bears no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered as a result of participating or accepting the payment.
The Participant is solely responsible for any taxes due on the Remuneration.
OTHER CONDITIONS
In case of a situation that allows ambiguous interpretation of these Rules, the final decision is made by the Organizer.
Violation of the Rules or refusal to comply with the current Rules deprives the Participant of the right to participate in the Campaign and receive Remuneration.
These Rules, and all claims or causes of action (whether in contract, tort, or statute) that may be based upon, arise out of, or relating to these Rules, or the negotiation, execution, or performance of these Rules, shall be governed by, and enforced in accordance with, the internal laws of the Cayman Islands, including its statutes of limitations.
ANY DISPUTE, CONTROVERSY, OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE RULES, OR THE BREACH TERMINATION, OR INVALIDITY THEREOF, SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION ARBITRATION RULES OF THE HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE AS AT PRESENT IN FORCE AND AS MAY BE AMENDED BY THE REST OF THIS CLAUSE. THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY SHALL BE HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE. THE PLACE OF ARBITRATION WILL BE IN HONG KONG AT THE HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE (HKIAC). THE DISPUTE WILL BE HELD BEFORE A PANEL OF THREE (3) ARBITRATORS. YOU AND WE HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVE THE TRIAL BY JURY. DISCOVERY AND RIGHTS TO APPEAL IN ARBITRATION ARE GENERALLY MORE LIMITED THAN IN A LAWSUIT, AND OTHER RIGHTS THAT YOU AND WE WOULD HAVE IN COURT MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE IN ARBITRATION. NEITHER YOU NOR WE WILL PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION FOR ANY CLAIMS COVERED BY THESE RULES TO ARBITRATE. YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE AS A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS MEMBER ON ANY CLASS CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE AGAINST US INCLUDING ANY RIGHT TO CLASS ARBITRATION OR ANY CONSOLIDATION OF INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATIONS. ANY PROVISION OF APPLICABLE LAW NOTWITHSTANDING, THE ARBITRATOR WILL NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO AWARD DAMAGES, REMEDIES, OR AWARDS THAT CONFLICT WITH THESE RULES
