Introduction
Ease in Islam is what a man is prepared to do and does not bother him, because Allah charges no soul save to its capacity, that is, what it is capable of bearing; for it is what it has merited, of good and its reward, and against it is what it has earned, of evil and its burden. Removal of difficulty is the removal of what leads to hardship, and the removal is linked to the rights of God because it is based on forgiveness, So where in the Sharia this principle is applicable and where it isn’t?
Removal of difficulty and ease whose lawful character has been established indisputably and which are a fundamental element of religion, are there 'to confirm this aspect of Islam. Thus, they exist exemptions, which allow lightening the prayers, to regroup them, not to fast or to consume illicit foods in the event of constraint. Such prescriptions undeniably indicate that avoiding difficulty and is a general Islamic principle. The same goes for the prohibition of going too far into details and complicating things, which prevents us from persevering in actions. If the Legislator's objective in imposing obligations on us was the difficulty, there would be no Removal of difficulty or ease. (1)

One of the applications of ease in Islam is to take into account the temporal context. Relief also consists of considering the consequences of actions and words and taking into account the habits and customs. Therefore, the ease and removal of difficulty is applicable when it is fixed in the Quran or the Sunnah, there should be no ease according to the desire and volition.
Body
Evidence from the Quran and the Sunnah clearly shows that Islamic law is not intended to impose harsh or difficult practices on people, unlike many detractors who want to divert people from Islam,
Among the Quranic evidence, we discuss five Quranic verses:
- “Allah does not lay a responsibility on anyone beyond his capacity “ Quran (2:286)
- “The month of Ramadhan is that in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights the new moon of the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey, then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and wants for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that to which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful ” (Quran: 2/185). This verse means that Allah wants to make it easier for you to fulfill your religious duties and to avoid difficulty on the example of the month of Ramadan and its exemptions such as travel.
- “And Allah wants to lighten for you your difficulties; and mankind was created weak “. (Quran: 4/28).
- “O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful ”. (Quran: 5/6). This verse means that Allah does not want to embarrass you, but He wants to purify you.
- “But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful “.this verse means that Whoever needs to eat something of forbidden mentioned by Allaah for urgent necessity, he can eat it and God is Forgiving. (2)
Among the Hadith, we discuss five Ahadith:
- The Prophet (Sala Alahou Alaihi wa Salam) said: ' I was sent with pure and harmonious religion ”. (Hadith by Imam Ahmed according to Abu Oumama)
- Aicha (Radiya Alahu Anha) said, « Whenever the Prophet (Sala Alahou Alaihi wa Salam) had to choose between two options, one of which was easier than the other, he chose the easiest so long as did not involve sin; if it were a sin, He was far from it.'. (Hadith reported by Imam Muslim).
- 'Make things easy for people, do not make them difficult, reassure them with good news and do not push them back.”. (Hadith reports by Imam Al-Bukhari).
- «Religion in principle is easy practice. That nobody tries to be too rigorous in the observance of the religion otherwise, he will succumb to his task. As a result, stay in a the medium by seeking to get closer to perfection. Have hope and help yourself with prayer '. (Hadith reports by Imam Al-Bukhari)
- Abu Hurairah narrated: ' A Bedouin entered the Masjid while the Prophet (Sala Alahou Alaihi wa Salam) was sitting. He prayed, then when he was finished, he said: 'O Allah! Have mercy upon me and Muhammad, and do not have mercy on anyone along with us.' The Prophet turned, towards him and said: 'You have restricted something that is unrestricted.' It was not long before he was urinating in the Masjid. So the people rushed to him. But Prophet said: 'Pour a bucket of water over it or a tumbler of water over it.' Then he said: 'You have been sent to make things easy for the people; you have not been sent to make things difficult for them ”. (2)
We mention five occurrences in the Shariah where this principle is applicable:
- The exemption of some obligations in case of existence of the causes allowing it.
- The diminution of the obligation as the shortening of the Prayers during the journey.
- The substitution of the obligation as the substitution of 'Wudu' by tayammum.
- Delaying the obligation such as grouping Prayers or postponing fasting for the sick person.
- Derogation as in the example of the consumption of Haram products in case of need and necessity. (1)
The difficulty in the commands and prohibitions d'Allah does not conflict with the principle of “ease and removal of difficulty”:
- When Islam established religious obligations such as prayer and fasting, it established them gradually until they reached their final forms.
- The appreciation of removal of difficulty in worship may differ from other customs and transactions, and this is due to the interest of Sharia alongside worship so It is not appropriate to miss it by the name of removal of difficulty.
- A normal hardship that can be tolerated: No difficulty removal in this case, because it is part of worship, and if Shariah responded to remove this kind of hardship, the religion will be destroyed from its foundation. (3)
The conclusion
God made his religion full of tolerance, ease and removal of difficulty because he wanted his religion to be the message to all people and countries. What constitutes the basis of religion is the ease, which fits the different generations and the needs of the ages in various places, Islam is a religion that tends to make things easy, facilitates them even more during travel, in case of illness and more generally, in difficulty.
