I have an established positive impact and influence in my society, which I know portrays me as a leader. Since then, I have functioned towards enhancing learning, science, health, and purposeful living. I partook in the Escom 4.0 National Essay competition in 2018, representing the University of Uyo. To tackle unemployment in Nigeria, my Essay proposed a 6614 educational system, that allows a compulsory one-year skill acquisition before tertiary education.

I was one of four champions. I received various recognitions, including a live radio session at the University of Lagos, a certificate of achievement, and an online publication by The Nations (https:thenationonlineng. netyoungcerebralamiddespairamp). From January 2020, I served as a National Youth Corps Member at Government Secondary School Fadia Tudun Wada, Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State. I filled the vacant position of a chemistry teacher and assisted in teaching physics and basic science. I received approval from authorities to execute nearly eight months of free science and reading lessons after school. I spoke to over 100 students about the effect of drug abuse on the brain during the school's science week in March. The pandemic stirred school closure in April, but I managed to continue the classes in a safe space for an average of 10 students and 15 children. By November 2020, I had greatly improved my education in the community. Over 70% of science students in the school passed the 2020 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

They eventually went on to acquire skills and pursue tertiary schooling. I furthermore received reports that children who participated in my reading classes are doing well in the community primary school. As a Corps Member in Kaduna State, I was also the Assistant General Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Corps Fellowship (NCCF). In August, I contributed ideas and finance to the NCCF Care Project, and I volunteered for the Nigerian Air Force Medical Outreach. Both projects provided medical succor and food items to 500 victims of the Southern Kaduna Crisis in the Internally Displaced Person Camp in Zonkwa. In March 2021, I created a WhatsApp Group called United Africa Network (UAN). It became a nonprofit organization that unites African youths to inspire positive change in Africa. I am currently the Executive Director of 64 members. In July, I spearheaded the planning and hosting of UAN's first webinar and online campaign, #mentalhealthmatters. The campaign spanning between July 12th17th reached over 15k people on Facebook and Instagram. The Zoom webinar on Mandela Day on 18th July recorded 38 participants from various African countries and was rated 4.5 out of 5 stars. Although I enjoy creative writing, I am passionate about improving learning and mental wellness hence I yearn for a higher degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health.

My experiences reaffirm my belief in inspiring positive change. I hope to leverage the Chevening scholarship to address issues bordering on learning disabilities and mental illnesses.
