Bubonic Plague and Black Death in Europe during the 1300s In a previous history class I learned about the Bubonic Plague and Black Death in school. Over some time, It has been known that the black plague ended up coming from the Silk Road and rats. I also ended up knowing that there was a major outbreak which they had in Europe which happened during the 1300s. I always found this interesting because of the outcome of the cures that they tried to use. Another thing that I remember is that people ended up becoming paranoid about the Black Death and the way that they ended up using so many different remedies to avoid it.
The one question that I have is where did the black plague come from? The reason that this question matters to me is because of the way that it can determine the fate where you ended up living and the way that the Bubonic Plague ended up traveling. I feel personally that catching something so deadly or even watching loved ones around you die from it.

The second question that I have is how many people died from the plague? I would like to understand more about how many people either died or the way they got rid of the Black Death. The one thing I found interesting which left me curious about is how they dealt with the symptoms of the Black Death. The reason that this matters to me is because the black death played a big role throughout many parts of History today.
I feel the reason that this question matters to society is because it can help when discovering new cures for diseases and finding new ways to vaccines to help people's overall health in society. This also can matter to a society since this plague can be completely altered whether it be in Europe’s society in History or the way that we can learn from it.
When choosing the primary source of Jacob von Königshofen's article, this focused on the discussion of the plague traveling and killing anywhere from 25 to 35 million people. It has been known that the patients normally ended up dying within four days after contracting the Plague. During their final hours, the people who ended up dying turned a purplish black color that was caused by the failure of the lungs.
Another primary source article that I learned more about is the one from Henry Knighton and the way that he discussed that some of the towns were affected by the plague. Over time it has been known that several towns and villages ended up becoming desolate from the plague. Another thing that he talks about is the plague and the way that it was killing at least 5000 sheep within a pasture.
