Here's to consider: Sports players are the highest paid profession in the world. Mostly, every athlete is looked up to and idolized by many kids growing up. Sports are important in American culture because they intrigue people, making them dedicated and passionate about their favorite teams. I remember the excitement on Sundays watching the Chicago Bears play as we spilled popcorn all over the living room while yelling at the television. Sports means a lot to people who take the time to watch them and root for them.
Growing up as a little kid, I remember I would always turn on the television and watch sports. I enjoyed watching the players kick a soccer ball, hit a baseball, or watch football players tackle each other once they caught the ball. The athletes on many of my favorite teams have shown and have proven to me that there's many ways to be determined, to persevere, to have time management, and to never give up. This is a way sports have always had a positive impact on me and it's a topic that captivates me in so many different ways.
So how do sports prepare you? Well sports can teach us many great values. Such as great work ethic. This is positive news that can be created in children and focusing on self-discipline in a good manner is perhaps the best thing that sports can accomplish for children and teenagers while they are young. Overcoming adversity can also build up character, it shapes us into what our identity is and who we will turn into. It makes the certainty to survive and the learning fundamentals to manage the things that don't go the way we expect it to go. Sports players can make us a better human being by giving us good advice, and it's way more deeper than just playing a sport. Sports can help us big time.
My whole childhood I have viewed sports as a way to express my true passion for the game. That's the reason why I joined the soccer and basketball team in 5th and 6th grade of elementary school. It impacted me in a big way because it taught me there's no 'I' in team. Sports also showed me how to develop leadership skills and how crucial it is for many jobs in the real world, having time management is important because it allows you to achieve more in a shorter period of time, leading to more free time, allowing you to take advantage of learning opportunities and helping you focus, leading to more career success. Benefiting from time management is a huge aspect of your life. Yes, playing sports and looking up to my favorite athlete did make me change for the better because it taught me how to be committed and persevere through any obstacles that come my way.
In the future I will take along what I learned to become a great successful person in college. This experience has prepared me for my bachelors degree in college by being motivated and confident in myself and to never give up because I know I am not set up to fail. Throughout all my life, I have worked and pushed myself to get good grades and preparation for college. That is why I have been so committed. Most often, sports players are idolized for all the hard work they have put in to get to where they are now.
