Time management focuses on utilization of time for each activity to be carried out in order to successfully track the activities to be finished within the specified time. Valuing progress is attributed to how individuals make productive use of time by balancing the value of the needs and the time spent on each task to maximize their time, (Sayari & Jalagat, 2017). Time management provides structuring and task organization skills for people. The research of Wang, Kao, Huan, and Wu (2011) found that time management is essential beyond the university where the ability to manage one's free time significantly increases the individual's quality of life. O’Connell (2014) also suggests that the balance between sleep, activity, and the proper diet combined with the increase of free time would result in a reduction in student disease, showing a connection between physical health and administration of time.
Effective time planning is the ability in which all learners should not only know, but also need to know how to apply (Faisal et al., 2014). Daily life is not a risk and allocating time to every activity will help. Unlike other things, time lost never comes back. Karim & Mitra (2015) also connects the attitudes and behavior of learners on time and management with factors related to time planning. According to Al-Zoubi (2016), in organizing time, a person would use the best way to take care of his time to get the best result.
Academic delay generally refers to the unintentional pause in the course of study, even though the delay is predicted to be worse (Steel & Klingsieck, 2016). Though this educational delay may cause a lot of difficulties for those affected, studies of higher education prevention and intervention are surprisingly limited (Pychyl & Flett, 2012). Another study also concludes the variables of time management would include independent variables such as prioritization, prolongation, socialization and academic achievement of students (Adebayo, 2015). In particular, his research stated that there was a strong connection between variables in time management such as prioritization, procrastination, socialization, and educational achievement among students. Certain indications of the research suggest that learners should prioritize their duties, less delay in reacting to deadlines and taking exams, and mild socialization activities.
Time management is a knowledge which affects students ' educational outcomes. However students do not feel that priority should be given to important tasks. (Aduke, 2015). Time management was described by Mercanlioglu (2010) as personality-management, with a clear focus on time in determining what to do, how much time to spend on action, how tasks can be carried out faster, and how time is enough for specific activities. According to Al-Zoubi (2016), Organizing activities based on its relevance is an efficient time-to-time planning, he also explained the significance of valuing important actiities over other activities, allocating enough time to accomplish the best outcomes to be successful. The effectiveness can be assessed by the quality of tasks completed in a particular time. Prioritization based on the nature of the task can be achieved by documenting important dates such as the due dates of assignment and then grouping them depending on the date of assignment, complexity, and size (Faisal et al, 2014).
