There have been so many leaders in the past and one way to understand their leadership is by analyzing what behaviors they showed and what were they willing to do to lead. As Steve Jobs quoted; innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower. Steve Jobs was heard being harsh with his workers but when the statement was brought to him, he replied by addressing all his workers as smart people working in his company and if they were feeling abused they could easily find foremost jobs in other companies by looking elsewhere but they would rather stay and continue to work for Mr. Steve and the works done by that time were admirable (Isaacson, 2012).
Here Mr. Steve was being intelligent as he was being accused of treating his workers with roughness which was questioning his leadership but he chose to reply wisely by saying his workers were smart people and they were working in his company under free will. Mr. Steve was self-confident by saying how much progress his company had. That showed that Mr. Steve was able to lead his workers toward the goal of the company which was a success. According to Wikipedia, Steve was fired from the company he cofounded but that does not stop him from fighting and leading. after being fired by the board members he started NeXT and opened his way later to Apple. His desire to lead did not stop there. Later he bought Pixar and later used it to acquire a seat on the board of directors of Disney.
What we can notice here is Mr. Steve never gave up and kept investing and working to be able to be on top. The case of Pixar shows how he used his money to invest and use it to acquire a leading position in Disney so that he could share the huge profit made by the company over the years. He was always a leading type of person more and less a follower type. He showed that he wanted to be on the top of the game and that he was being dominant. According to this review, it was considered genius how Mr. Steve was present when computers were developed but also, he was able to find astonishing ways to sell the products (Turan, SEP 3, 2015). He knew what he was doing and that showed Mr. Steve task-relevant knowledge.
Steve Jobs was considered as the hero who insisted in the World to try the new gadgets at that time even though it was against the norm. it can be seen how wisely he set roots in all the different fields such as the iPod for music, I iPhone for the cell phone industry, Pixar for cinematography, and the iPad and MACs for computing. Even I books were further developed on the App Store leaving behind him a legacy that will still last for years (Murugesan, 2011). This shows how Steve wanted so badly to lead so that he could bring so many changes and be in the top position to have control and make his company successful. His legacies left behind him with millions of people liking his products shows that he was able to make it a success.
