“Beef is when you need two gats to go to sleep, beef is when your...”. No, beef in this case is the cow flesh prepared as a food. The largest supplier of beef is the United States. They produce 20% of the world's source. Beef comes in a large variety, ranging from loin to shanks, to ribs. The products produced by using beef are usually meats or leathers, however, beef byproducts consist of soap (beef fat is used in some soaps), antifreeze, explosives, and paints.
Beef is used in three as a main ingredient in three of my favorite dishes. The first dish is skillet garlic butter herb steak with potatoes. You get a steak of your choice, then heavily season with salt and pepper. Then pan sears it on high heat, 3 minutes on each side. Then lower the temp. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook the steak to the desired doneness. Once the steak is cooked, you slather the butter compound on top. An American dish. Another dish is kofta kebab, which is beef and lamb mixed with onions, parsley, and garlic placed on skewers and then grilled for 15 minutes. An easy but tasty Iraqi dish. And the third is beef chow mein. For the chow mein, just cook the noodles according to package directions, rinse and drain, and leave them to the side. In a medium-sized bowl, put together some soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and finally some water. Set this aside. Now heat oil over high heat and now ad ½ pound of sirloin beef sliced thinly. Fry this until the beef is just turning brown. Now add salt and pepper, garlic, onions, and ginger. And now continue to cook and stir until the onions are soft. Now throw in some broccoli and carrots, and cook until carrots are tender. Now throw in the noodles and the sauce mix. Now cook and stir for 3 minutes until it's finished. This is a Chinese dish.
Growing up, eating beef always happened on a special occasion. Whenever we went to barbeques, we had kebabs, tikka, and ribs. When guests came over, we cooked steak rolls or roast beef. On long road trips, we would stalk up on meat pies or beef and chicken shawarmas. Using beef is a big part of Iraqi traditional meals. So I have a very fond moment in my childhood where beef was present. That coupled with the fact that I am a meat lover in general, beef is my favorite. One of my favorite food items to couple with a beef dish would be potatoes, especially sweet potatoes. Garlic and onions also work very well for me when it comes to beef. If I had to make a beef dish at home, I would definitely go towards making a steak or a kebab; I don't cook much, but I have made hundreds of kebabs, every family bbq I and two of my cousins make the food.
