I’m sure that most of you know my name but for those who do not know it is Philip, I am 11 years of age and am intelligent, honest, and sympathetic, I have the vision to better the school by 2020, but most importantly I would like to get this out of the way whatever you do not listen to my opponents because they are simply liars and they will do all they can to get the golden badge of school captain. Anyway here are 3 reasons why I should be a school leader, wait for no-no why I must be, no no no why I have to be a school leader *much better*.
Number 1: My Smarts. What I mean by this is that I am most intelligent as have been included in the Maths Talent Quest which is a big event held here in Victoria that brings children as far as Queensland to compete in a big maths event. Being smart also means that I am quite wise meaning I can make good choices to have a great impact on the school for the better, I should also mention that I have been through a lot of things not necessarily good things which also gives me the skill of resilience which if I google it say that it means: resilience: the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
Number 2. One of the qualities I have is honesty. Just simply ask one of the teachers, and they will say “Yes Philip is pretty honest”.I also have more proof. A couple of years my friends and I on Saturday school were caught in a fight with some year 7s who were bullying us, eventually, one of my friends had enough and punched one of the kids. The teacher caught us and I had to explain everything that happened and if I lied I’d be blamed two even though I didn’t do anything, but I told the truth instead of being sneaky and quickly getting away with it.
Number 3: Another one of my qualities is empathy, for those who do not know what empathy means it is to feel what another person is feeling say yes you, are feeling say mad I’ll have all most alien-like abilities, and Yes I might be from area 51 and a rogue alien. But I’ll be able to help _______________ and since I have been through a lot lately and beforehand I will be able to understand __________________ so I guess you could say I also have the quality of kindness but I understand that none of you guys really want to be here *And neither do I*.
Number 4: Organisational skills. I am a very organized person and that’s why I brought along my latest school report which shows here that I am on time with homework and I am very organized for example a lot of these other people that are going to school captain get there reading a book if they teacher says that it’s reading then they will realize that they need a pencil then a ruler and then a rubber, but with me I get everything organized at the start of the day. And I am pretty good at managing people which is also listed on my school report.
I have a vision for 2020 besides the usually cleaner toilets more rubbish bins better taps to fix school property. I instead have the vision to improve the school internally. Put your hand up if you still get bulled or annoyed by others, come don’t be shy. That is still a staggering number of people and we have a decent anti-bullying movement but that’s still not enough. Also how often do you guys get into an argument? Yeah, about 1 to 4 times a week. For how long roughly I’d say about 15 minutes, It should actually be 3 minutes, once a week. So yeah the school still needs a lot of fixing.
As my speech slowly comes to an end I should remind you not to listen to any one of these ‘Future Leaders’ but instead take on board what they're saying just keep in mind they could be liars *filthy liars*. And also remember to choose wisely someone that you personally think can lead our school. You will hear. I promise to lead the leader of the school in a good way, I promise to lead the leader of the school in a good way, I promise to lead the leader of the school in a good way. But remember they said they promise not I will. Put your hand up if a friend promised you something but it never happened. Yep almost everyone. But if they say. I WILL. Then that is a different story then that's nothing small that is a big lie and I was talking about myself being honest so you can trust me when I say. I WILL BE THE GREATEST LEADER OF ST THERESA’ PRIMARY SCHOOL ALBION AND I WILL LEAD THE SCHOOL WITH GREAT RESPONSIBILITY AND PRIDE. I WILL BE A GREAT SCHOOL CAPTAIN.
