Roderick Frazier Nash's essay ‘Island Civilization: A Vision for Human Occupancy of Earth in the Fourth Millennium’ explains an argument that in order to correctly executed an island civilization, the populace needs to minimize to a quarter of today’s population, which would result to around 1.5 billion people, meaning there will be fewer of them. Personally, I do agree with the author's opinion that human beings are the primary purpose of destruction. As the author pointed out, when the Earth used to be created, it was filled with the barren region and was no longer unharmed. Many years had passed and humans in contemporary society have led to spoil the barren region by creating factories, buildings, roads, etc. In different words, we have to alternate our fate to stop growing worse on our planet Earth.
This writing is dedicated to every person because we are living on this planet that we have to take care of. Our society has now not changed at all, some of us prefer to make a change, but others do now not, and genuinely now not care for the world. For example, it “anticipates a trashed, poisoned and used-up planet that can assist biodiversity and civilization”, describing how the world is becoming extra and greater destroyed over the previous years. This situation seems more in all likelihood to happen in the future genuinely because of the way we are trashing our world with the aid of leaving plastics in all places and because of the way that we have no longer been exactly sharing this world with the relaxation of the species efficiently with the aid of destroying their herbal habitats to create ‘new room’ for humanity to take over. However, mankind has prompted global warming and developing pollution that is destroying our planet. There are many matters that we may want to maybe do to attempt to shop our planet, we can perhaps try to begin off little by means of organizing neighborhood smooth up and then perhaps do something bigger. If we do, it would possibly be less challenging for our future inhabitants, even if the adjustments will now not ultimately save the world.
