The business of religion is typically based on superstitions and lies, which are first formed and then rooted into the society by these exploiters. Confining to the Indian context, these superstitions gets translated as wish for a son, wish for marriage, wish for passing marks, and many others. The problem is widespread as imposters and fraudsters can be found from local streets to national level stages, from a local “bengali baba” or “Vashikaran specialists” to popular “Messenger of god”, who actually end up at Sunarian prison near IIM Rohtak, for committing multiple crimes. Other individuals like “maulanas” against whom non bailable warrants have been issued and the courts have repeatedly questioned the police for non-execution of the NBWs. At other occasions these persons, who claim to be the owners and contractors of the religion, declare support to certain political parties and ideologies. The majority of the funds earned by religious leaders of national level is often utilized to change demographics, religious conversion and launching intellectual attacks. These intellectual attacks are launched by platforms of mass influence, particularly Bollywood, fashion and trends. People like ZAKIR NAIK are under the scanner of NIA for terror funding. In short, these acts are purely motivated by objective of achieving personal satisfaction, whether in terms of money, lust or spreading religion.
