A related story happened with Kanye Omari West and Kim Noel Kardashian which compares to Daisy Fay Buchanan and Thomas “Tom” Buchanan. These two familiar situations can relate to each other in the novel “The Great Gatsby” by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald during the Roaring ’20s. The Roaring 20s, also known as the Jazz Age, the decade of the 1920s featured economic prosperity and carefree living for many. The decade began with a roar and ended with a crash. A person’s happiness is chosen by who they want to marry for the rest of their life.
Daisy is unsatisfied with Tom because the particular reason for the circumstances is that Tom is having an affair with Myrtle and Daisy is having to deal with it while being downhearted. “Tom’s got some women in New York… she might have decency not to telephone at dinnertime” (18) this actively demonstrates that Tom has other women besides Daisy which shows that Tom is unloyal. Daisy gets this new information, but when they meet at the dinner Daisy suddenly doesn’t confront Tom, but she knows that Tom is cheating on her. “Daisy took her face in her hands as if feeling its lovely shape, and her eyes moved gradually out into the velvet dusk” (19) this shows that Daisy is hiding her emotions and making it seem like she doesn’t know that Tom is cheating on her when they meet at the dinner table here they talk.
Daisy begins to start cheating on Tom with Gatsby. Daisy starts having an affair with Gatsby by going to the party that Gatsby has hosted for the past months. Daisy secretly flirts with Gatsby while at the dinner table by showing him affection and giving out the smallest hints that could lead to a bigger outcome in the future. ”You always look so cool” and “You resemble the advertisement of the man” This means the appearance of something is nice/appealing and Tom finds out that Daisy is cheating on him with Gatsby.
Kanye Omari West and Kim Noel Kardashian were in a confusing/messy relationship, they both got through with an upcoming divorce. There were rumors that Kanye was sleeping with another celebrity who they say was Jeffery Star. This is a rumor that can be fake but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be true. Having a divorce can be extremely stressful and could burn your wallet within seconds. Some partners do agree on a divorce, but a small number of people stay by law married but don’t talk to one another due to their situation or neither can't afford it.
