At the beginning of the story, we were shown to the man’s vulture eye. This eye is the reason for what the killer did and no person would do such a thing because of a single eyeball. In the story, the killer tells the audience that their thoughts have become more powerful. I think that the killer’s senses were not becoming stronger, the killer became more selfish showing that he was guilty and scared when he killed the old man but what drove him to kill him was the eye. The killer thought his hearing was stronger but little did he know he was hearing things. The final reason is after he killed the old man he started feeling what a normal person would feel like guilt and being scared so he started talking louder.

If the story was told from a different point of view, for example, one of the police the story would have been less interesting and would not be able to relate as much to the policeman. But the killer, we all felt guilt and we all have been scared before. When it is told from the point of view of the killer, we are shown the killer's life and his thoughts and emotions.

In the first paragraph, the killer tries to convince them that they are sane and in control of their mind.

I think the effect of not using proper names, it allows the audience to think and makes the story more interesting.

I think the heartbeat was in his head the whole time. The killer starts to hear the heartbeat after he murders the old man and that it is a sign of guilt. Also, he is panicking in his head.

I think that the mood of the book is creepy and grosses people out. There aren’t any bloody scenes and when he kills the man at first he seems happy which disturbs people.

The first time I read the tale tell heart I thought that he was writing it in his journal. I thought that because he was putting a lot of detail into things that seem too personal for someone to be making up.

I think the heart part of the telltale heart is used to describe the old man’s heart and the heartbeat the killer hears in his head

I don’t think the story is your everyday horror story because most of them scare you and keep on scaring you. While this story creeps you out as the story goes on that is why I think it is such a great and creepy story.
