Truth Behind A Smile
Everybody has experiences, things that have happened in their life that made them the person they are. It is what we call a past, and this past makes us who we are. I would love to explain my past, my history that has formed me into the person I’m today. My past has made me decide to become a teacher, yet it has also made me realize that life is like a rose; it is beautiful, yet it has thorns.
First, I was born as a very ill baby, and I was in and out of the hospital. Even at an early age, I could see the Miracle of Prayer. My parents would tell me that I’m a Miracle Baby and that if it wasn’t because of prayer and their strong belief in God I wouldn’t have survived. I was battling for my life, doctors didn’t have hope of me even surviving. At the age of 3-5 years old, I couldn’t talk no one would understand what I wanted only My older brother he would be the only person who would understand what I wanted, and that was because I would point to it and he would tell my parents what I wanted. I would go to doctors and no one would understand what was wrong. No medicine would help my condition. After all, my family never stooped praying. When I entered school, I would get bullied, and I couldn’t defend myself. I went from operation to operation I; have 7 operations. But I was determined I wanted to be a teacher. I didn’t know how, but at a young age, I knew what I wanted.

Second, when everything started going normal I was getting the help I needed. And I was not doing well in school but I was doing better. In my 5th-grade year, my parents decided to put in into a “Christian private school” and they thought that would help, But It didn’t help
because I was doing good academically, but I was still getting bullied there. At the end of that school year, I moved to a Dan Mc Carty. I remember the last words my 5th-grade teacher told me, “If you leave her you would never succeed you will not graduate” I ended up believing it in my mind, but my parents would tell me to not listen to her because I was better than that.
It was like a mental war day after day. I can honestly say if it wasn’t for my strong belief in God my parents and Gabby who always told me I can do better then I must believe in myself. I wouldn’t be here. I ended up getting to a point where I thought about how would I handle everything that I was facing as a defeat or become stronger and prove all those people wrong.
Because of all this, I decided you know what I can do better because I have a dream want to be a teacher. I want to make a difference. I wanted to do as I quote I read “Be the person you needed when you were younger” (Teacher Quotes). Because I saw the need of having a different world myself saw how much this world needed better teachers and not only teachers who would bring you down. So, I can honestly say that was my motivation thought my Middle school and high school year. I would try my best and focus on my studies because I knew I wanted to get somewhere and there is nothing more powerful than self-worth, and getting back up no matter how many times life has knocked you down
With all belief In God, I can say He answers prayers; he sent me my 11th-grade teacher year who would always motivate me who would always help me. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t even be in college because she was the one who helped me with all my college transcripts. Also, my parents helped and they never let anything anyone said destroy me.
This is my story therefore I decided to become a teacher because I want to change this world and make it a better place where no matter your past you can still succeed. I would love to be an Early Childhood teacher.
