The movie ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ is an action-packed adventure movie starring Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) Sean Connery (Indiana Jones’ dad). If I could give the film a rating, I would give it a 4/5 just because it's a bit more of an older movie. But the storyline and the actors are spot on. It's interesting and it keeps you on the edge of your seat, I think a four out of five is a solid rating, especially because it's an older movie the running time of this movie is 2 hours and 8 minutes or 127 minutes. The director of this movie is none other than Steven Spielberg. My first thoughts on the movie were that it was going to be action packed just by the title and they had some very good actors in this movie.
This film is full of twist and turns the main idea is that they have to go through a series of challenges, will they survive you will have to find out, but their goal is to stop the Nazi’s from getting to the holy ground where the water is kept. The plot I think is very easy to follow because their ultimate goal is to get the holy cup, and that mission doesn't change, yeah other problems get in the way but nothing changes making it easy to follow. The movie is very believable in most cases because it involves real things like the holy cup and the tablet that had the commandments on it, these things haven't been found as of now but are in the Bible. This movie has a lot of twists and turns. I don't want to spoil the movie but it really keeps you on the edge of your seat making it a really interesting and unpredictable movie.
The cast of this movie is really good and I think everyone in this movie did a good job. I will mention a few more of the main characters now: Alison Doody (the Nazi professor), Kate Capshaw (Willie Scott), Denholm Elliott (Dr. Marcus) and much more there just the main character I can think of. They all fulfilled their role, especially Alison Doody. Her acting really fitted here role. But they all did a good job making this movie as good as it is. This movie has all types of action mixed in it and lots of humor. The funniest part for me was when they were tied up on the chair together not trying to spoil it but that was a very funny scene. The actors definitely use the right emotions for each scene when his father is in trouble, Indiana Jones showed his anger and sadness all of these characters did this very well.
The directors of this movie are Steven Spielberg with the assistance of James Mangold. Steven is an American film director. He is 73 years old and has lots of experience. Stephen has many accomplishments including the Academy Award for Best Director and has helped create many great films including ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, ‘E.T. the Extra Terrestrial’ and ‘Jurassic Park’ just to name a few. James Mangold is 56 years old also giving him lots of experience. He has been nominated for many awards, such as the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and the Academy Award for Best Picture. He has helped produce many great movies, such as ‘Cop Land’,’ Girl, Interrupted’, ‘Walk the Line’, ‘The Wolverine’, ‘Logan’, and we can't forget one of his best – ‘Ford v Ferrari’. Due to all their experience combined they have produced a movie which sounds like when he was running on the train you could hear the animals, which makes the movie more realistic. Also, when they were in that mine shaft, they used different angles such as when they were looking down on the guys and on the train, they used the wide angle to get the full shot of the train and the landscape.
So, my conclusion is that this is a great movie. I would recommend this movie to people who like lots of adventure and action to keep them on the edge of their seats. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 5 if they were allowed but this could definitely potentially be a good family movie. I think readers would enjoy the storyline of this movie but the acting and the images in the movie really do help it make it more entertaining.
