In order to diagnose his mental illness, he had to pretend that the people he imagined were really not real and decided to ignore this presence.
The movie presented some scenarios that could possibly be explained by skepticism in philosophy. John Nash himself was skeptical when he lived with schizophrenia. John was in school at Princeton at the time and worked very hard for the doctorate. Contrary to the great efforts he devoted to training, he did not know his own psychological problem. John could not understand the unreal existence of everyone like his roommate Charles, Karl Marcie's niece and the superior named William Parcher. The other characters in the movie and I would probably also be skeptical. No one would have known what all the unreal people who had grown up in John's head looked like. How would we know if they were there without seeing them with our own eyes? John could see his best friend Charles, who lived with him during his studies, but he did not know that Charles was not real. John had no experience between reality and imagination. On the contrary, other people around him, like his wife and friends, could not see people and their actions. So, neither? In general, we also experience skepticism in the movie.

Suppose these 'people' were real, at least for John Nash. The truth forced John to realize that the existence of his unrealistic friends was not true. One example of the movie was when he said to Alicia: “Marcie never grows up, she never grows up and she is not real”. John realized that his knowledge of these 'people' was false. From that moment, Johannes began to recognize the 'knowledge problem'. A philosophical problem that can be recognized is that John contradicts his own universal meaning.
