The management of business fascinates me. Maybe it is because I come from a family of entrepreneurs who believe that nothing in life is easy and that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well. If we need or want to live that dream, then the initiative must be ours alone. My idol is my grandmother, an indomitable lady who accepted employment outside her home at a time when women of our community were forbidden even to step out without a veil. My father, a first-generation industrial entrepreneur, broke a decades-long agency and trading family tradition to pursue his own dream; he is my role model. I would like to continue the entrepreneurial tradition of my family. An MBA in Leadership Practice from Napier University will offer me insight into the dynamics of a global working environment and its required thought processes. In a business world that is increasingly heading towards seamlessness, an MBA will equip me with the requisites to transcend the remaining boundaries and effectively execute the ambitious divergence and growth plans of my future organization.
From a young age, I set goals beyond those of my peers. I decided to pursue a BSc in Civil Engineering in my native country India, but in recognition of the limitation of programs in this field in my country, I decided to pursue my post-graduation diploma in the United Kingdom. The course was administered by the Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh, where I had an immensely useful learning experience with world-class faculty due to the overall complexity and quality of the curriculum. My graduate coursework at Heriot-Watt University focused on construction management and various aspects. As a result, this post-graduation diploma in the UK gave me special skills which give a growth to my career, an idea of integrating both construction and business management inspired me to pursue the MBA degree at this point in my career. An established business set up by my father 20 years ago also provides me a good base to start my own business following my MBA graduation.
When it comes to world-class education UK has always set its standards very high and undoubtedly has one of the best research infrastructures in the world. Besides having amazingly engineered education policies, the country and its efficient system are very inviting to the globe. As a result of diverse settlers from all around the world, the country and its communities are unique, ever-changing, and accepting. A student looking for good education and exposure need not look further. Also given that all the people speak and understand English just makes things so much easier for students, as English is now a mandatory part of most curricula. With thousands of young graduates finding employment in the last decade gives me more hope for the quality of education I could find in the United Kingdom. The business being the field I wish to pursue would therefore be beneficial to me.
I feel that Napier University is the right choice for me as it is reputed for its excellent academic instruction as well as the personal attention given to its students. Furthermore, exposure to some of the biggest corporate companies is exactly what I see fits my requirements. I am convinced that at Napier University I would get the opportunity to learn not only from highly accomplished faculty but from an interaction with a global fraternity of students as well. I intend to make the most of such an invaluable experience and share my own experiences with them. I hope that studying at Napier University will provide me with opportunities that will truly widen my horizons and become stepping stones to a bigger and brighter future in the business world.
I believe that an MBA program at Napier University will equip me with a masterly understanding of the principles of my subject. It will also reinforce my efforts toward the path of excellence. I am confident that my research potential will be proven to be a well-defined capacity to conduct any research of high quality under the expert guidance of the distinguished faculty at this institution.
