I had serious doubts as I stood in front of the restaurant was located between a Marshalls and an ammo store. My family had gone out to celebrate my parent’s anniversary, and my mom had chosen this new Indian place, Aga’s, which she’d heard about from her friends. Any doubt I held as I walked into the restaurant was cleared soon. However, the Indian cuisine surpassed my expectations in the quality of service and food.

Throughout the years, I have traveled to multiple Indian restaurants and have built up my standards for what kinds of things one should expect when dining at one. A typical, average Indian restaurant usually consists of South Asian foods such as different types of rice, curries, vegetable and lentil dishes, a variety of chicken and beef, and traditional Indian sweets for dessert. When I entered Aga’s a server greeted us and asked how many people we were. I looked around and observed how rather clean it was. The tables weren’t sticky, the floor’s tile was shiny, and the wall was decorated with nice tapestries. Pretty cool place. Anyway, the server took us to a booth, which had no rips or scratches, and handed us our menus. Taking a look at the menu, the dishes were a bit pricier than the average Indian restaurant, but seeing the good service and condition of the restaurant, it made sense why. Now the only question left was if the food was good. My family ordered a large platter with a side of naan and daal, a lentil soup. The waiter came and took our order with ease, took up our menus, and brought back water within two to three minutes.

The food took a total time of about twenty minutes, which although it seemed long, was worth the wait because the food would be cooked fresh. When it arrived, I could still see the smoke rising from the kabobs, and pieces of tandoori chicken. Overall, the pricey food items were worth it with the quality of the food, service, and condition of the store combined. The location is a bit iffy, and I would have never thought that such a nice restaurant could have existed inside based on the faded paint of the exterior. Would I go here again? Maybe, but not too soon because I ain’t got that money.
