The alchemist is the tale of a Spanish shepherd named Santiago he loves his flock and always noticed the limited nature of their existence. Santiago’s parents have continuously struggled for the basics of life. They live in a beautiful Andalucía, which attract tourists to its quaint villages and rolling hills. But for them it is no place of dreams. Santiago on the other hand can read and wants to travel. He goes in town to sell some of his flock and encounters a tram-king and gypsy woman. They urge him to follow his omens gypsy points him toward the pyramids of Egypt. Where she says he will find his treasure crazily, he believes her. He goes in search of his personal legend. He follows an advice from an old king and sells his sheep to get there. But he gets robbed on the way so he works with a crystal merchant. When he gathers enough money he joins a caravan and starts a tough journey through they stop at an oasis where he meets Fatima and fells in love with her. He then meets with the real alchemist who shows him the final way to get to his treasure. After facing different difficulties he fined his treasure. He discovers that one cannot be dissuaded from pursuing a personal legend even choice seems impossible to bear. It tells us we should stay strong and resolute in our dreams and plunge head on into the soul of the universe and fulfill our destinies gaining, contentment and happiness. Strongest factor of the success is self esteem believing in yourself believing that you deserve it and you will get it and have faith in God.
This book is all about motivation, hard work and believes. There are many factors of this book that appeals my attraction. Firstly, this book tells us about hard work and passion to achieve your goal or your personal legend. It tells that if you want to get something first you need to take initiative with risk and you need to be brave enough to dive deep into unknown universe. When you start your journey then you will become able to understand the language of universe then you will believe that if you can dream it definitely you can achieve it. I think we all need to know that here in this universe we are for some reason and that reason is the only thing that gives you enthusiasm of life. Here the worst thing is when you betray with yourself without struggle you just make excuse that I am not ready or wait for the right movement. Without taking initiative right movement never comes the thing which is required here is to take forward step toward your goal of life and never give up or lose hope. Furthermore, it tells about when you want to achieve something whole world conspire for you everything around helps you to have it. When you put your vibration and your energy soul of the world comes in your favor and make structured plans for you to fulfill your dreams. When you have strong faith in God then God put so many forces in action to do your help. From unknown and unexpected ways favor comes for you. As the wind and sand unexpectedly helps the boy to solve his problem. It also shows blessings of people helps in our struggle and motivation is also an important factor which boosts up your stamina and helps you to listen to your heart. That is the reason alchemist is my favourite character in the novel because he motivates the boy and guides him to follow his destiny. Your heart always guides you in right way and shows the way toward your happiness.
This novel also tells that how you have to confidently face the problems and how can you show power of your soul through your behavior. Another important factor of the book is that we need to pay attention to the language of the world. It means universe gives us signs and omens in other words it guides us that what is good and what is bad for us? Through omens universe shows us our right path. When we pay attention then we realize that goals are not complicated as we think. I think when your dream becomes your passion then you easily understand omens in your surroundings. This novel tells that hurdles are just part of life never be disappointed from your life due to some problems. These problems are not hurdles; hurdles are those which our mind creates. In the darkest hours that we forget that behind this darkness light is waiting for us at the end. Life is so precious we need to be kind with others and with ourselves too because life is about sharing. Material things are just matter what more important are the feelings that we felt and lessons that we learned. Lastly I would like to recommend that everyone should read this book not just only to escape from reality but also to understand the reality. This book definitely deserve a place in your bookshelf because this story is full of wisdom as well about becoming self empowered, overcoming depression and believing in yourself. The alchemist can change your perception in life. It was written because it has a purpose it can inspire you it can encourage you to keep going and aim high. It teaches that there is no ordinary person every one of us is special in our own way always remember that we were created equal.
