Christianity is one of the most popular religions in the world today. It has over one million missionaries ready to do God’s word by preaching to the sick, offering food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, and clothing to the poor. Missionary work is hard and requires Christians with a good heart to do it. Additionally, they also encounter challenges like ridicule, a hostile climate in an unfavorable environment, and pests from remote areas. Also, they believe that God gave Moses the ten commandments to lead and guide them. Unlike Muslims who are required to pray five times a day, majority of the Christians pray though it is not mandatory. They believe that Sunday is the holy day of the week and people should rest. Coupled with this, Easter is the most important holiday as Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Paper tends to cover the background of Christianity, its teachings, and beliefs.

Christianity commenced after the death of Jesus Christ. It was started by the Jewish community in Judea on the day of Pentecost. It was founded by Apostle Paul. After starting in Judea, the culture was adopted by people from Asia and Europe. Jesus Christ gave his 11 disciples to preach the word worldwide. They were given the mission to preach in the streets and homesteads. Anyone who welcomed them was Blessed and those who rejected them the disciples were supposed to dust their feet and leave. They were supposed to bring people to God by repenting their sins and giving their lives to Christ. After some time, Christianity was legalized and the construction of huge buildings and churches was permitted. They were given the mission to preach about the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
