Every person wishes to be fair, clean, and beneficial for society at the same time. For that, organizations need to follow rules and maintain legislation standards, engage themselves in fair practices and competition; all of which will benefit the consumer, the society, and the organization. Primarily, an employee and consumers are the ones who get benefit from implementing ethics in society. Some of the basic needs for which ethics importance is known are; satisfying consumer needs, improving decision-making, uniting people on one platform, maintaining credibility and loyalty, securing social and long-term gains, etc. These above-mentioned factors are the basis to have a long-term business and getting benefits and also trust from the consumers and other stakeholders to maintain on top.

Decision-making is one of the strongest and most important factors in any organization, therefore, it is important for each employee to know laws and rules, the difference between right and wrong to make any decision that would not affect the organization’s reputation and relationship with other stakeholders. It is said that a company that works to its own ethical guidelines strictly is the one that never gets fined for poor business.

Businesses that do not follow any kind of ethical code or fulfill their social responsibility have wider disadvantages. Unethical behavior can harm the reputation of a company and make it less attractive to stakeholders. This implies that the resulting profit could drop. Without the ethical hiring system, hiring one employee who is not fit for the position is a corrupt act, then again, discrimination on a character’s race, color, religion, gender, or country during hiring the personnel will be an offense in opposition to the discrimination ordinance.

In my current semester I have been offered a course named “Professional Practices” It is all about how one can behave professionally in organizations, how to be ethical keeping in mind cultural, social, and moral values, how to resolve the ethical dilemma, how to behave with classmates and how to follow rules and regulations strictly, etc. These are important to know when being a professional because not only your skills will help to pursue your dream but how you behave with management and within the organization is noticed and it is a very important step while pursuing your career.

Ethics is important to teach as a subject in institutes all over because the first thing you need to know is how you treat others and how your appearance makes impression on others so they will further talk to you and you can form a better social circle with a good image. One should know the clear difference between right and wrong and can guide others also. Mostly in ethical dilemmas one should think critically and analyze the situation accordingly where you should not need to think of personal benefits for your friend’s, sake, or a relative’s benefits but to decide on the basis of ethical moral grounds.

Ethics education should be a basic step in one’s educational career, like from being a school student, and even before that in the learning phase, a child should know the basics of how to behave with others, what to speak, and what no, what is bad and what is good. Because it all helps in building good behavior which helps in improving his ethical behavior in each phase of life. He / She should know how to behave with teachers, follow rules strictly, obey their parents, not argue or cheat, not abuse, etc. All are the factors that we learn in our whole life to be a respectful person.

Ethics has affected me in such a way that I have become responsible and strict towards rules and regulations, following the code of conduct and understanding its importance to practice in my future as a professional. I have found out my weaknesses and strengths despite having technical skills I am more concerned to build up my soft skills and my ethical decision-making capability as my plus point. I have learned to be punctual in my classes, I have learned to be honest and to not do cheating and plagiarism acts. To respect others’ opinions and guide them on what is wrong and what is right.

The basic purpose of our institute is undergraduate ethics education should be comprehensive, multi-dimensional, and woven into the fabric of each student’s experience. We have been taught that Although some ethical demands on skilled engineers are adequately expressed in rules of conduct that specify what acts are permissible, obligatory, or prohibited, there's a lot of to acting responsibly than following the foundations.

Professionals, in particular, should decide what to try and do to best sensible} good outcomes in matters entrusted to their care. Building professional sensibility is an important and basic ethical issue therefore we are taught in this course to behave professionally when entering to pursue our career in any organization. One should know about the organization's history of practicing ethics before applying for the job, so that it would be easy to judge employee and management’s decision-making ability and also how significant is ethics for them, is there any ethics training program for employees, is punctuality and honesty is considered to be a major requirement, etc.

Ethics in practice is important for any organization and following a code of conduct and with that decision-making and solving problems would become easier. A primary responsibility of institutions is the development of a course of study that prepares students for the observation of engineering within the world that those students can expertise throughout their skilled careers. This responsibility inures the profit not solely of scholars, but additionally of the society that those students can serve.
