The juvenile justice system in our nation has been trying to successful rehabilitation juvenile offenders. juvenile system years ago was lacking specific punishment for crime such as robbery, grand theft auto, destroy private property, depending on the crime if the person was a minor they were sent in a juvenile center. However, if the crime was more extreme they could be charged as an adult no matter what age you are. This essay will discuss the Juvenile system by age grouping, and the crime a person committed. The age grouping should be like our school systems such as junior high school and high school.

Prison isolate the criminal from the world’s, and have great structural such as many police officers on duty guarding every perimeter, and used two strong bod wire. One bod wire most cut people quick and the second bod wire have spike wire if the proper try to go over the spiked wire, the person gonna get tangled and get cut easily. The police are armed with rubber bullet and shotgun. These the same way that Juvenile facility is Guarded. For instance, I have three uncles that work in corrections, One work in the Juveniles facility and my uncle work in Federal facility, One work in the City prisoner. Some facilities have rooms with multiple prisoners per cell between the ages of 12 to 17, and some cells house two inmate person cells. The law sees the people under 17 as children depend on crime and buy 18 over no matter what crime they going to adults.

History Of Juvenile Justice System

The legally practice separated adult criminal and juvenile offenders can be traced back to development to england customs and law that happen hundreds of years ago. English customs and laws were brought to colonial america (1646) these customs were taken by Virginia and Connecticut and Massachusetts in (1678) continuous early 19 century. In the past people’s we’re looking at the juvenile center and ask questions why had a lot of young adults are Convicted doing minor crime. In the Progressive Era, the prevailing belief among the founders of the juvenile justice system was that a newly identified group of young people, coined ‘adolescents’ Hall 1904, had less well-developed reasoning, the majority, and impulse control compared to adults. Many children that has a single-parent homes have higher rates of delinquency than those living in families with two biological parents, according to Brickhead. Single parents are not aware of their children making bad choice because they don't have time to give them the support or attention they need. Most children do illegal things such as stealing from a person because of their financial background and wants what other of their age have such as brand sneaker, foods.

Reforming Criminal Justice System

There has been a continuous effort to fix juvenile center, The most important reform that was successful was to remove the status offender from the locker contain dequice. After decade almost all states have passed laws that required status offender replace in shelter. Many people see young adults act out characters in prison,since they have a different mentality than adults and able to accept their emotions and environment.In the social reformers’ view, a separate system of juvenile justice represented great progress compared to the traditional treatment of delinquent youth in the adult criminal justice system or by arbitrary community standards according to Platt 1969. Young adults can behave a certain way with their peers. And the youth adults are discipline in juvenile facility by having a certain set of rules.

Role of Police and Corrections

Children that are incarcerated in juvenile center does not recognize correction officer. The corrections play a huge role in the juvenile center, they work with people that committed crime and make sure they follow set ruke given in prison. Correction officer are like the police office and make sure people are martian certain law within in prison. For instane if teenage in prison is start a fight with other members, the correction officer have the right to pull the fight and they will get punished for breaking a rule and hurting other people. The person might stay in certain cells and take away their reward for going outside with everyone. This inherent risk-taking behavior, manifested in immature judgment, also reveals a decreased sense of foreseeability according to Troutman. B. Police corrections enforce the rule in the juvenile prison. Corrections Office places the prisoners in their cell and makes them make their rounds in their sections of the floor and make sure no inmates are threatened each other or planning to escape.

In particular, young adult commits a minor crime because of there lack stability. In history its discuss many young adults are abandoned by their family and has to learn to defend themselves and may do illegal things in order to get shelter. The reform is to used treatment and discipline.
