Ray, Ortiz, and Nash (2018) added that diversity training should be conducted across all police departments and specifically target those employees who are in direct contact with the public, offenders, and suspects. By testing police officers and identifying those members of the law enforcement system who have prejudice toward racial and ethnic minorities or the propensity to abuse physical and emotional force, the issue of brutality could be eradicated on the system level, resulting in higher trust toward police officers.
