The main idea in ‘Spirited Away’ is love. According to the dictionary, love is an intense feeling of deep affection and great interest and pleasure in something.
According to the Internet, Chihiro is the ten-year-old core protagonist of the Japanese animated film ‘Spirited Away’. Chihiro's relationship with the rest of the characters expressed the main idea. I think it is because of how much love she expressed that kept her in the spirit world. In the beginning, you realized this when she first encountered Haku (the witch helper). Haku gave her a pill, she keeps enjoining for mum and dad even as she finds herself in a strange world.
Love played a role in ‘Spirited Away’. According to Fandom, Chihiro's growth into a capable individual is a core factor in the movement of ‘Spirited Away’s plot. During her adventure in the spirit world. She matures from an easily-scared girl with a child-like personality to match her age to a hard-working, responsible, and a brave young girl who has learned to put her fears aside for those she cares for.
Sen's goal is to protect her friends and rescue her parents from a spell that has turned them into livestock, Chihiro sheds her former personality and adapts to her environment to become courageous, quick-witted and a reliable girl. The strength of her bond with Haku as the story progresses eventually evolves into a very sincere form of love that dispelled Yubaba (the witch) and Zeniba's respective curses on Haku.
Love makes you stronger among the people but will make you weak against the one you love. In the film, Miyazaki made it comprehensible that the main idea could be love. I can recall when Haku stole Zeniba's precious seal. Sen had to go to Zeniba in an attempt to convince her to cure Haku, Kamaji gave Sen train tickets to get to Zeniba, Lin asked what was going on, then Kamaji said: “Something you wouldn't recognize, it is called love”. While Chihiro returned the seal, Haku arrived in his dragon form to take Chihiro back to where she came from, so she could leave before they left Zeniba told Haku: “Haku, I will forgive you for stealing my precious seal but in return, you must take care of this girl”.
One intriguing part is that normally a person cannot fall in love with someone he or she has never met in person. You can chat for hours, days, even months or years online and that includes face-timing. You can get to know someone and the potential for real love can certainly be present. This perfectly relates to Haku and Chihiro when they first met each other, Chihiro didn't seem to trust Haku and is focusing on her parents. I will love it if Miyazaki can make part two which we will see Haku and Sen meeting once more and maybe get married or break up if love isn't the characteristic of Miyazaki film. I don't think you should expect them to go far. Sen would have left the strange world if she only cared about herself. People will say Chihiro is only being brave but love could make you do things you never thought you could do for others.
