In these ceremonies, there is a sexual relation but doesn’t include any sexual desires, especially without touching or a glance between the commander and handmaid This made this situation a mission that they have to do otherwise if they let their selves as real sexual act it would be a lust crime. “Mulvey begins by noticing that while the works are wholly concerned with a woman as a sexual object, nowhere are the female genitals to be seen. They are either hidden, absent, or disguised. What is visible, however, are numerous phallic symbols; the women carry guns, or hold cigarettes, or brandish whips.” (Hatt, Klonk, 2006) While this disturbing relation continues the handmaids are already an object in this system of baby production but not sexual, they are the real meaning of the object just used for the production like a machine. In this uneasy area, nobody feels so comfortable and this situation and in this time is for requires searching for a solution for these non-humanist acts or accepting the situation as it and living with it. This transition not would be easy for the women's side especially for the handmaids because a huge part of the storytelling continues under Offred who is one of the important commander’s handmaid. While this process continues Offred is found writing of “nolite te bastardes carborundorum” which means “don’t let those bastards grind you down”. She lies down inside the closet and takes the shape of a fetus in a psychoanalytic way is a wish to return to the mom’s womb to feel better. When she feels desperate to find hope or power, she enters this closet lying down as a fetus to fight the trauma. “According to Freudian psychodynamic theory, early traumatic and painful events produce memories that, when repressed into the unconscious, may affect later life. (Otto Rank) elaborated on the proposition that birth is itself traumatic: It suddenly and painfully thrusts the infant from the warm, secure womb into a cold, hostile, and frustrating world. When frustrated later in life, people may in some ways behave as though they wished to return to the womb.” (Brown, R. T, 2013)

In further of the series in two episodes, we see a place whose name is Jezebels. This place is a hidden sex club for punishing the rebels as a sex worker and they can find some forbidden items for them in the Gilead like drugs, alcohol, dresses, make, etc… So many scenes include a very strong fetishistic drive my first example of this is the scene of the while June (aka Offred) walks into the hall of the hotel at Jezebel's she saw the inside of a room and two women are kissing and one of them wearing as a handmaid but this place is forbidden for the handmaids so that is a situation for the role-playing for creating a fetishism object as reviving a non-sexual raping ceremony turning into a sexual fantasy by the men and it occurs the basophilic (rape fantasy) situation. In the Republic of Gilead, same-sex relations are shamed and called ‘Gender Treachery’ so there a situations they do not fit the rules. The second scene is coming after right the first scene that I explained, in this scene we see a woman injured, interrupted probably by Gilead’s punishing system. And one man is licking her injured hand and that occurs in acrotomophilia (loving persons with amputations).

In the general situation, some bad happenings are turned into fetishism objects by the men in this fictional world and the concepts for the relations are different from the normal life,, especially the perception of the raping when it is done with the love it would be a crime but making it legalize with some laws and the governmental issues it gains a perception of a sacred mission. The owners of the land are formed by the male gaze for taking women out of the governance otherwise they will be punished for what they are doing by losing a limb and the mechanism of the repression works like that until they obey to order so they apply some physical punishment system but the psychological situation it is not so powerful as the punishing system if it would be strong as it this system should be continuing without any rebel or a problem but they forget something about the motherhood. This feeling of motherhood is getting beyond losing some part of their bodies because this is an instinct of protection comes with so the effort of trying women to become machines is an impossible situation for the Gilead.
