INTRODUCTION

The main goal of this experiment was to separate strain from a natural and the existence of living microbes which are present in the environment. The natural environment has a lot of bacteria suspended in the air. The surfaces around the lab can have capability of contamination too. In this experiment, microorganisms were taken from different sources to determine how growth of bacteria can grow from the surrounding environment. This method is important because it enables recombination of DNA technology. The sterile technique was employed to reduce the laboratory contamination. It is of luck that to human beings this form of bacteria does not cause any harm.

TECHNIQUE

The first agar was opened and left to be exposed for 15 minutes in the air. Secondly, the second agar was sprinkled with dust on the surface and the lid closed right after. The third agar was divided into halves where the first half was to have washed portion and the second unwashed portion with the fourth agar being divided into 4 quarters with the first quarter having swap of cotton from finger nails, second one forearm, third eraser and the last swap from the water Fontan. The fifth agar had blood stream was divided into two halves with one half having kiss by lies and other kiss by tongue. Lastly the sixth agar had blood strain which was coughed on.

DISCUSSION

In the agar which was one to the air there was a decreasing density in growth observed. The observable bacteria seen on the plates had different patterns of growth. There was a comparative in some colonies and others not. With the exiting of bacterial colonies, the highest count that was noted in blood strain with kissing with lips and tongue. The washed portion of agar had more bacteria growth as compared to the no washed one. It was also noted that in the quartered 4 agars, the bacterial growth rate was more evident in the quadrant with swap from the finger nails. A decreased bacterial growth rate in the agar which contained dust from lab surface was noticed, blood strain and cough in that order. This disclosed an indication that more bacterial growth was from human than environment as seen from the growth pattern. The kissed blood agar with moistened lips and the tip of the tongue showed how the bacteria which are on the surface of human body after food we eat and how they can be spread directly to our body when we swallow the food. Also, the Fontan water had the small bacterial growth because water was treated and filtrated from the bacteria which might have boosted the faster growth.

CONCLUSION

At the end pf the experiment, we saw how bacteria can exist in water, in the air, human body, Bacteria can easily be spread in many ways. Microorganisms from any source can be easily be grown in solid, liquid growth media.

It was also concluded that there are different growth strength depending on the surrounding i.e. water human surface, objects surface. Bacteria can easily spread to the ideal surrounding. The kissed moisturized sterile agar had high growth as compared to the others in that the bacteria are left on the lips and tongue from the food we eat and the saliva.
