This organized information can then be used in marking, design, trends or popularity prediction, transport, business, government activities, research and more. Big data can be used to increase sales, understanding, progress and etc. For example, big data can discover consumer shopping habits and patters from their past perches and make more personalized marketing. Big data is a large and complicated system that requires many roles. This creates many jobs as it gives people many opportunities. Working on big data and how to advance it. It is a popular career and field. But there are many negatives and risks that comes with big data. There is a possible but unlikely chance that someone can hack companies that use big data and get access to your information. Another negative that come with big data is due to algorithm, discrimination and determinism can occur. Violations of privacy and right to data protection can also be occur what is a significant issue that has happened in past events.
Big data has had much success in the IT industry. Although there is a negative accept, they can be easily addressed in the future. Big data has more positive than negative and will most likely keep growing and developing, being more popular with companies and government. Ahmed (2017) states: “Total revenues from big data and business analytics will rise from $122 billion in 2015 to $187 billion in 2019. Business spending on big data will surpass $57 billion dollars this year”. This proves that big data is not slowing down and will progress dramatically in the future years.
In conclusion, big data is a spectacular invent that has changed the digital world. With it being beneficial for business, government, and the general public. Working faster speed, bigger quantities and creating more revenue. There are still many obstacles to overcome, like safety issues and data waste. Big data has and will keep changing the world.
