History is the study of past events, particularly in human affairs. The importance of history is to allow us to have knowledge of our present time. History allows humanity to look at its own reflection and allows us to think about humanity. Studying the events from the past gives us a better look at how the world came to be including human culture and even nature itself. In my opinion, I believe it is more important to study the past rather than the present because we can learn more from our mistakes. When we learn from our mistakes we take it as a life lesson, we grow upon it, and we don’t let the past repeat itself into our present time.
Everyone at some point in their time being has made some sort of mistake in which it leads them into taking it as a life lesson. One life lesson would be to walk on your path. I say this because when you walk on your path you’re experiencing many new opportunities on what you want to do, instead of listening to others tell you what to do. Sometimes the people that make this mistake by listening to others ends up missing on new experiences. Then they would have thought about how their life would have been different if they walked on their own path and done what they wanted to do.
