There are four main sectors of the QLD recreation industry, one of them being sport. The sport sector is very competitive. The sport industry is a market in which people, activities, business, and organizations are involved in producing, facilitating, promoting, or organizing any activity, experience, or business enterprise focused on sports. The sports sector industry is very popular due to how everyone wants to watch and listen to the most talented people in the word, playing national rugby league, netball, cricket, etc. ….Also, inspires those who want to be the best at what they’re interested in so they try and use those industries to maximize their full potential and by that it can give them the opportunity to go national and competitive themselves. This sector also provides organized sporting opportunities for children, adults, athletes and others.
The fitness sector has a range of activities and helps develop a lot of different skills. The services Offred by this sector include health appraisals, fitness assessments and testing, fitness lifestyle advice. It will also give people the opportunity to maybe be in weightlifting competitions, marathons etc. Consumers want services that are targeted to their specific needs, which has led to an increased range of activities on offer in gyms and fitness facilities. This has followed a worldwide trend towards personalised fitness services.
This sector provides leisure and recreation services in a variety of community settings. Examples on some activities that are included are Boxing, Martial arts, Surfing etc. Stuff like this in the community develop strong social bonds and provides children to have fun with skill. Many benefits include improving the health and well-being of individuals, contributing to the empowerment of individuals, and promoting the development of inclusive communities. The program provides adults the opportunity to get involved with YMCA, PCYC etc.
The outdoor recreation sector encompasses all areas of involvement where individuals or gatherings engage in either active or passive activities using outdoor environments. The activities included are picnics and barbeques, soft active adventure such as bushwalking, camping, windsurfing and horse riding; and hard active adventure or high perceived risk activities such as hang-gliding, ballooning, underwater diving, rock climbing and white-water rafting.
Within the fitness sector there are many jobs/employments such as an Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Medical Assistant, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer etc. In our local area of Springwood State High School there are many activities & facilities for the sports and fitness industry, one being Anytime Fitness and the club isn’t that far for those who live around the Springwood, Rochdale South area etc. Also being an Anytime Fitness member allows the member to access all Anytime Fitness clubs around the world. Anytime Fitness specific services include fitness assessment, virtual coaching, wellness consults, and many more services. Extra facilities include 24-hour access which is very good because it can suit whatever time you want to go and workout or maybe even learn some stuff from other members of the club, also has 24-hour security. There’s also all the equipment you need to push yourself harder, with both cardio and floor training areas. All ages are welcome at the Anytime Fitness club, children need exercise just as much as adults, so it is very appropriate for them to go to the gym from about the age 2 onwards however the type of activity a child does at the gym depends on his/hers age and physical maturity, but all children must be under supervision at all times.
