  1. Why the Sydney New Year’s Eve is so popular? It’s because it is one of the best destinations in the world to celebrate the upcoming New Year and also due to the performance of fireworks. The fireworks are interesting because it is one of the biggest shows on New Year's Eve in the world. From this, we can imagine how big the event it is and how beautiful the firework sparks during the shows.
  2. Sydney New Year’s Eve is the biggest public event in Australia. The firework shows act as an attraction that drives over a million people to the harbor shore plus the fireworks also had been watched through various social media by people all over the world.
  3. Sydney New Year’s Eve is held on 31 December every year which is on the last day of the previous year. Admission is free everyone feels free to join the event. Those who come from another country can take public transport (taxis, trains, ferries, and buses) from the Sydney Airport to the venue.
  4. Based on the research, I want to talk about the evolution of Sydney's New Year’s Eve from 2015 to 2018.

  1. The purpose of coming up with a new theme for every year is to make the visitor feel eager and excited to come and for this year, it is Wonder. The word Wonder attracts the curiosity of the people about the mystery that has been had there.
  • a. According to the Imagination on The Brief Campaign.com, the creative expression of Wonder is with bold illustrations displaying a suite of stunning designs that represent Sydney’s sense of wonder during the summer months.
  • b. Theme was devised by the Sydney-based multidisciplinary designer and artist, Nadia Hernandez.
  • c. They will display around 600 banners with five designs around the Sydney CBD from the end of November till early January 2018.

B. Upgrading the size of fireworks

  • a. Based on the director in charge of fireworks, Mr. Foti said the coat-hanger structure will show over 28,000 fireworks that shot from 175 firing points adding with extra 300 fireworks from last year.
  • b. Moreover, it takes the Sydney fireworks director Fortunato Foti and the crew from Sydney’s family company Foti Fireworks International more than 5,000 hours to create the New Year's Eve display.
