Iron man a blockbuster series released in 2008 was a big risk taken by Marvel to release a movie based on an artificial intelligence suit controlled by an eccentric millionaire and the much bigger risk taken by Marvel was the casting of Robert Downey Jr. for the role of iron man. Robert Downey Jr. was not even recognized much during that time and he was even going through a rough phase in his life. Marvel auditioned different actors but Robert Downey Jr. was the most effective actor for the role of iron man because the characteristics of the personality required for that actor were already present in him.
