What are the negative impacts of computers?
There are many negative impacts that computers have on both society and human beings:
According to Ed Grabianowski, Relationships begin to wither as individuals stop attending social gatherings, skips meetings with friends and avoid family members to get more computer time. This shows the negative impact of the computer because computers make individuals spend less time maintaining relationships with their families and also shows the importance of computers to their lives. Children are not being able to get love from their parents because most of the time they are busy dedicating their lives to the computer. Many families worldwide are falling apart because of the negative impacts of computers. Most families aren’t getting attention from their family members because their concern is on the computers.

- Using a computer for a long period of time can be bad for health if it is not balanced properly with regular exercise and healthy eating.
- If an individual constantly stares at a computer monitor for long periods of time it will deteriorate your eyes, this could lead to you having to need glasses.
- If our posture is not good while using a computer it can cause back injury.
- We lose a certain amount of social and human interaction when we rely on computers too much; doing this can make us antisocial, and less confident and can cause us to become lazy.
- While production can be more effective in some roles by computers, this causes a loss of jobs in some sectors.
Paul Manning (2018) who is currently employed as an IT support in education said, one negative impact of computers is the loss of employment as companies seek to profit by replacing humans with robots and computers. As the years go by, robots continue to replace humans and overtake most of their jobs. Studies claim that by the year 2030, robots could take over 20 million jobs from individuals. Blake Morgan said that Robots are already starting to take jobs from hourly human workers, and it is going to continue. Research from McKinsey found that 45% of current jobs can be automated. Individuals need to stop avoiding the situation and start creating solutions to help the displaced workers. People can’t just simply put a stop to technological innovation. Many famous leaders have joined Elon Musk to start something called Open AI, a non-profit artificial intelligence (AI) research company that aims to promote and develop friendly AI in such a way as to benefit humanity as a whole.

Many families worldwide have been affected by it because of the lack of attention given to family members, but it also helped positively because it helped in keeping society connected.
