One thing people don’t tell you about the internet is how to prepare yourself for what apps like Twitter and YouTube hold. From conspiracy theories to internet memes, YouTube hosts them all. I believe that like all things, YouTube has positive and negative aspects. Providing a platform for creativity, YouTube has a whopping 5 billion users and rising every day. Common questions asked by kids or adults may be; “what’s so great about YouTube?, what has YouTube taught me?, How does someone know what they read online is true?”
YouTube is great in many ways. YouTube is very educational. All kinds of videos can be found. Some might even save you a few dollars. It’s a great way for people to take a break from life and relax. It is really easy to integrate. It can be used to create an eLearning community. It generates and promotes online discussion. It is ideal for mobile learning. It allows for microlearning. It enhances comprehension of complex concepts.
I personally like YouTube. I like to use it as a way to recall epic scenes in action movies. I asked everyone in my family what they liked about YouTube. My brother said he enjoys YouTube because he can spend his free time to relax and watching funny memes. My dad said he thinks it is a way for his therapy clients to stay connected. He believes that it offers them a way to be social in the midst of depression or social anxiety. My mom has stated, “I’ve seen the positive aspects and it’s cool that you're able to connect with a community. However, I can’t stand YouTubers. Between parents playing with their kid's toys, and people making loud noises into a microphone YouTubers can become famous and make money using no life skills. I only use it if I am trying to fix something or listen to a pastor’s talk.” My little brother likes YouTube to look at toys he hasn’t bought yet and review them for himself.
Is YouTube a great website? Offering gateways to all kinds of inappropriate things, YouTube can give kids access to things they shouldn’t be able to see. YouTube is for the most part good about providing a firewall to those who haven't proven the user is eighteen years of age, but not everything can be filtered. I have experienced this issue. While scrolling through a recommended page, my eyes fell upon a title not even an adult should be allowed to see. Creating thoughts of curiosity it was hard to not click on the video. Being intrigued can be a real problem when it comes to the internet. YouTube can still be dangerous. It’s not always easy to check what the real facts are.
Like all things in this world, YouTube has a positive and negative aspect to it. The internet can be fun, but it can also be dangerous.

Ad income has always been YouTube's trademark, and YouTube influencers make the number of their income through the AdSense revenue division.
