It is really important to participate in school and gym’s different kinds of activities. Even if we don’t know what to do we can still give it a try. Give it a try to learn about different sports and activities. It might feel really hard at the beginning but when we get interested, it doesn't feel as hard as it used to. Also, patience is the most important key. Even I didn’t know what I was doing when I first came here. I was totally new to all these things. It took time for me to understand how things work over here.
Since I was from a different country, things were really different for me to understand. First I had to understand the English then the game rules and regulations, which was really not so good. But since the people around me were helping me and explaining to me what am I doing wrong and what should I do, so it was getting easier for me over time. Now when I see freshmen and new peoples in the school, who doesn’t know what to do or what are they supposed to do; I try my best to help them. Because maybe somewhere they are in the same situation as I was in the beginning.
Most of the time I see people struggling with basketball. Because not everyone can play basketball and not everyone can shoot the ball into the basket. The rules of this is pretty simple. There are two basketball nets on both sides and both teams try to score points by shooting at each other basketball net. If you can make it to the hole from outside of the 3-point line it's 3 points and if you make it to the hole from inside of the line then it’s worth 1 point. You can’t walk with the ball in your hand, it’s called traveling, you have to dribble the ball as you walk.
So, in my point of view, people often get into trouble with basketball unless you are a basketball player or you know how to play it. Even though I still don’t know how to play it, I am talking about it just for information. I kinda basketball. Sorry, no offense. I hope my grade won’t get low for that. And like I said we need to be patient about every kind of game even if someone messes up, maybe that person doesn’t know how to play. We should just help them to teach them. I guess that’s all I can write about that topic.
