Dear Mr. Scanlon,
As a city planning student, I would like to express my interest in the Junior Planning position at Parker Scanlon Pty Ltd. This role sparked my interest as I have a very keen interest in legislation and as I’ve seen through your projects such as the work you’ve done on the Port Stephens Council, they focus regards the works of statutory planning. I would be very excited to be a part of your planning team to contribute my knowledge of the law and strategic planning skills to help further the direction of Parker Scanlon Pty Ltd.
I am a hard-driving student in the first year of a Bachelor of City Planning degree at the University of New South Wales. I am very zealous on studious ethics, having received outstanding results with a distinction average in all Development and Processing subjects. With the skills learned in these subjects, I have an outstanding understanding of the EPA Act and several SEPPs and LEP within the Hamilton region.
In addition to my studies, I possess strong communication skills both verbal and written through my two years of being a Ballet teacher from 2016-2018. I taught over 40 children correct techniques and practices to communicate them verbally and assisted over 20 with their verbal and written communication of the French language in order to understand the correct terminology. This resulted in my students receiving brilliant results with distinction averages within Ballet exams.
I also have worked for over two years as a part of a team at Zambrero. Here I managed teams throughout the peak times of service, dealt with customer complaints, boosted team morale, sorted through resumes with the restaurant manager, and organized workers to their proficient skills so all team members can work at their best. This resulted in our specific store being the top-grossing store during the weekend lunch rush.
My drive to work at Parker Scanlon and my record for high achievement in my studies and work make me an appropriate candidate for the Junior Planner position at Parker Scanlon Pty Ltd.
