My best friend's name is Kennedy. I’ve always called her my best friend since I met her because she had a certain thing about her. I will compare and contrast some of the main aspects of her character with the aspects of my second best friend Ebony to craft a clear argument as to why I consider her my best friend, In this essay.
To start with, Kennedy has a very open mind. She’s not like Ebony at all because she will only take certain things. If Kennedy does not like something she will be completely honest about it, but she will not show it in a negative way. Ebony, on the other hand, will do so and will not be able to hide her emotions about the situation. I admire someone who can be as open-minded as Kennedy. Kennedy is also not afraid of showing off her opinions in the right way. When she disagrees with something I’ve done, she will make it known that she disagrees with it. Ebony also does the same thing, and this is why I love her presence in my life as well. I am open to hearing real opinions, and that’s why we all get along.

One way Kennedy is different from Ebony is that she will try new things. Ebony is stuck in her ways and prefers to stick with what she already knows. I am the same as Ebony, but I like Kennedi’s way of looking at things because she has brought me all the way out of my shell. While being friends with her, I have gotten to experience a lot of things I would have never done without her. Both Kennedy and Ebony really care about me and my feelings they are always checking on me, and making sure I am okay. That is what I love in a friendship the most. One time, I was struggling with the death of two of my cousins, and they were there every step of the way. Being able to talk to them about everything is everything to me.
Another thing about Kennedi that I love is the fact that we have so much in common. Even if she was not so bright, we would always get along because we have a lot in common. We like the same type of food and we love the same type of clothing. Me and Kennedy like a lot of the same things, it makes our conversations interesting. On the other note, Amber and I do not have a lot of the same things in common.
Overall, Kennedy is my best friend because we have so many of the same interests. It is not one-sided, we both are equal in some way. I love Ebony in my life, but we do have a lot of differences, and these differences can cause us to go weeks without speaking. In the end, I still love both of them dearly.
